Institutions of higher education are invited to join Washington Campus Coalition for the Public Good to demonstrate their commitment to students, civic engagement and community partnership. Member campuses gain access to critical resources in support of this work, including:
Educational funds for students engaged in service including internships, practicums, field work, etc.
AmeriCorps positions to serve on campus and in partnership with community around academic engagement, postsecondary enrollment and retention, mental health services and access, food security and basic needs, environmental stewardship and education
Engagement with academic leadership across the state and across institutional types, sizes and structures
Advocacy work on behalf of the higher education ecosystem in our state, region and nation
Annual opportunities to gather in person and convene online
Support for relationships across institutions, building peer-to-peer support for administrators, faculty and staff
Programming and funding in support of professional development for faculty, staff and students
Regional events, including the Continuums of Service Conference, with member rates and opportunities to present and collaborate
Access to additional grant opportunities such as: MLK Day of Service funding, 9/11 Day of Service funding, Domestic Violence Awareness funding and more
Support for applying, planning programming, collaborating and learning across the region and grant management
Annual Student Civic Leadership Awards program highlighting exceptional students from member campuses in partnership with the Governor’s Office, Council of Presidents, State Board of Community and Technical College and Independent Colleges of Washington
